On the 17th of July 2023, at the invitation of the Municipal Party Committee of Benxi, Liaoning Province, Dr. Wagner, CEO of ACCU X-tech ACCU AIT, participated and spoke at the Benxi Foundry Cluster Cooperation Conference, which aims to support the transformation of the local foundry cluster. One of the key transformations is to become greener, reduce carbon emissions in categories 1 and 2, and provide digitalisation and consulting tools for all companies to comply with China's carbon peak and carbon neutral targets, as well as the Carbon Boundary Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) requirements for exporters.

 

 

Another transformation is the export of more castings and casting-related products to Europe. ACCU AIT and its subsidiary ACCU X-Tech GmbH in Munich, Germany, will facilitate this co-operation by providing the required digital tools and carbon management, and enabling professional exchanges between partners in both countries. This co-operation is recognised and supported by Wu Lan, Secretary of the Benxi Municipal Committee, who visited ACCU X-Tech Deutschland GmbH's foundry partners HERP and MFG in July this year and appreciated the technological, environmental and energy advances they have made.

 

 

 

The digital technology of ACCU X-Tech Aceite will create new communication channels between the economic partners and speed up business processes. Both Secretary Wu and Dr Wagner stressed the need for a problem-oriented professional approach. They referred to the case of the transformation of the Ruhr region in Germany and illustrated that the key to successful transformation is to use existing competences to sustain profitability and invest them in new competences. Dr Wagner believes that Benxi's proactive, problem-oriented approach is the right one and deserves strong support from ACCU X-Tech.

 

 

Dr Wagner emphasised that Benxi's transformation requires a combination of a range of different capabilities and expertise to ensure success. Therefore, ACCU X-Tech is working with the local team in Shenyang to provide digital technology, carbon expertise and online systems, as well as their marketing and marketing activities in Germany.
